Amsterdam is one of easyJet's most popular destinations. The challenge? With 19 million tourists descending on a city of just 850,000 people, it's perhaps a little too popular. How do you inspire curious travellers to venture further? easyJet teamed up with the Netherlands Board of Tourism to launch #Vanderers, their first UK-based influencer-only campaign. We created a branded campervan and gave the keys to four creators who showcased the best of the other Netherlands, with curated Google Maps followers could explore. The campaign exceeded all expectations with 1.6M reach (115% above target), half a million views (52% more than planned), and a cost per view of just 2p. Most importantly, 1,742 direct bookings were made off the back of the campaign. It worked so well that easyJet replicated the entire concept for other European markets, proving that influencer marketing done right doesn't just create content, it creates customers.
